A good leather bracer not only looks good, it will last a long time if treated correctly, as well as providing invaluable protection against string slap.

This Bracer has been hand made from high quality veg tanned 2.5mm leather. 

The bracer measures 6" at its widest point (nearest to elbow) and tapers to 4.5" at its narrowest (nearest to wrist).  It is 7" in length with a curved section at the wrist for comfort and to give the wrist room to flex while holding the bow.

The bracer can be worn either left or right handed.

The design is three Oak Leaves with a basket weave pattern bordering it, which draws attention to the central design quite nicely.  It has been treated with two coats of Green Tannery Leather Dye, with a little Yellow added to the central design to lighten it and make it stand out better, which gives a lovely finish to the bracer.  It has been finished with two coats of water resistant Resolene to protect the leather and a top coat of Carnauba Creme Wax, which also adds a water resistant finish as well has giving a nice sheen to the leather.

The Bracer is fitted with three Old Brass lace hooks and elastic shock cord to fix the bracer in place.  It is a very flexible approach to fixing the bracer as it can be done with one hand and it is very quick to put on and take off.  The elastic cord has been left quite long and can be adjusted to suit by untying the knot and re-tying it at a shorter length and cutting off the excess.  Brass eyelets have been fitted to each elastic cord hole to not only enhance the look of the bracer but also to protect the leather from being stretched or damaged.
